Brand Identity System

Thrifty Trish is a blog dedicated to tips on traveling the world on a budget. Trish, the Las Vegas-based mastermind behind the blog, wanted an unpolished, handwritten logo. We decided to stick to a simple black and white color palette that would boldly hold its own when paired with the wanderlust-inducing photography she features on her site.

Thrifty Trish is not a resource for 5-star resort-style traveling, but rather an authority for life-changing experiences that everyone—no matter their financial situation—can enjoy.

To convey the message of (luxe) travel on a budget, I wanted the logo to reference simple script that could be found in a travel journal. Something that appears to have been written quickly, yet still legible and approachable. The logo also needed to work well in stacked and horizontal orientations for application across multiple platforms.
